SYNOPSIS
In the style of a road movie, the documentary unfolds a personal perspective of the director as she takes us on a journey from Kerameikos to Eleusis along the modern Sacred Way. For the ancient Initiates, this route was a path of ritual and initiation, culminating in the revelatory experience of the Eleusinian Mysteries. Today it is an unremarkable motorway that everyone passes through but rarely truly "sees." Is there still anything "Sacred" about it beyond its name?
